The myōjin statue is standing on the head of the turtle and there’s reliquary enshrined inside the turtles head. This statue is made in order to invoke the blessing of Bhaiṣajyaguruvaidūryaprabha on not only the region the statue is enshrined but also every place and everything.
Mabicho is enormously damaged by 2018 Japan floods, and chief priests of temples are working on supporting the people in the region for its recovery.
